In his function Terry will report to our General Manager Operation, Mrs. Leila Duan-Collins directly. Terry’s main function is to overseas all local operational matters in close co-operation with our local partners (customs broker, hauliers, shipping line or terminals etc.).
In the Zhejiang Province, Ningbo is the main gateway for sea freight and its container terminal was ranked 6th in the world in 2012 with a total volume of 16.83 Mio TEU’s handled. Zhejiang's main manufacturing sectors are electromechanical industries, textiles, chemical industries, food, and construction materials. In recent years Zhejiang has followed its own development model, dubbed the "Zhejiang model", which is based on prioritizing and encouraging entrepreneurship, an emphasis on small businesses responsive to the whims of the market, large public investments into infrastructure, and the production of low-cost goods in bulk for both domestic consumption and export. As a result, Zhejiang has made itself one of the richest provinces, and the "Zhejiang spirit" has become something of a legend within China.
